New Zealand - Day 9

Minta maaf ade kesilapan technical at my previous post, day 6.. fiq yg drive along the coastal on the way to Kaikoura, and not papa and dh btolkan hehehe plg best drive kt situ yek? hehehe nasib baik die xdpt jalan Picton n Coromandel hahahaha anyway, I noticed that my post have all these big spaces in between.. but when I was drafting it, they seemed fine.. malas nk btolkan boleh x hahaha so the last few post had a lot more pics than I thought of putting but xpela kan.. Ok dah next day.. today we planned to go on a cruise at Milford Sound.. this one was for mama cuz she wanted to go and see the fjord and waterfalls.. well damn it NZ, why do u have to make such complicated roads with no short cut? Let me give u a glimpse of where we drove and how it could be.. 

 

see the difference? the route available is only the blue one with the 'scenic view'.. whereas if they build a tunnel or drill through the mountains, we could save more time as the orange arrow show heheheh So we ended up driving 4 hours just to get there.. luckily the roads were not that bad.. we stopped at Te Anau and shopped a bit.. I bought a jacket and some cookies.. and papa bought some socks and gloves for his son..

 this place was a little scary cuz it was like on top of a cliff.. mama was so afraid to go to the edges.. that's how far she'll go...

then continue driving.. there was one point where we went through a tunnel.. oh my god!! Horror nye!! First, we had to queue to go through cuz it was a one lane tunnel (NZ mmg kedekut jalan, dah la jalan kecik, every time lalu bridge, mesti one lane je haihh) then when we entered, it was pitch black.. there were no light except for our headlights reflecting those red thing at the wall… second, it was going downhill, the slope was so steep, I bet it was like 45 degrees.. then, there was a huge bus in front of me.. huhuhu scary k drive.. and once we exit the tunnel, it was like under construction ke ape.. then of course, the winding road.. but luckily, I managed to vet through and we reached the place.. got our tickets and went on board.. it was drizzling so we were in and out of the deck.. sian fiq mabuk lagi hehehehe we did managed to get a glimpse of a dolphin.. skejap je mcm 2 saat.. yaya saw it first and pointed it out.. we were hoping to see more later but none appeared..

Freezing.... the wind was hard and it was still drizzling a bit..

the view was pretty with waterfalls and all.. but the best part was when we were approaching the open sea.. the waves got bigger and bigger and we started feeling nausea.. yaya and I decided to go out, and with the hard wind and drizzling rain, plus the waves, we had so much fun going with the flow of the cruise, up and down.. mmg sejuk gler, my hands felt like they’d get frostbite.. it didn’t help my flu, which got a little bad at that point, but it was totally worth it.. BEST BEST!! hehehe the cruise was about 2 hours plus.. on the way back i insisted to stop for pics.. it was clear and pretty when we came and now it was foggy and we couldn't see the background huhuhu sedih...

I wasn't ready... but wanted to show the entrance to the scary tunnel...

I was so cold and a bit tired so I asked papa if he could drive.. sian papa towards the end of driving, I think when there was like less than 1 hour left of driving, papa mcm penat.. I was trying hard to stay awake but fail a few times.. nk sembang2 tp jauh sgt kt blakang tu.. it didn’t help that there was no light for the road, and were driving beside a lake.. sian part smp motel gak, xlepas sgt kt sharp turn tu, i think we slowly hit a few rocks but luckily x scratch sgt kreta huhuhu anyway, reached home safely, and again didn’t cook dinner.. sumer penat so sendiri cari makan.. some had cereal some had maggi hehehe fiq 2 nights in a row skip dinner huhuh siann..

I don't know how many drafts i've got lying around in my inbox.. each one semakin basi by the second.. i'm just stubborn cause i wanted my NZ posts to be up first before i post anyhting else but now it's already October and even the NZ posts pon dah basi kan.. selecting pictures are tedious, and yet that's what should be in the posts.. cause no one wants to hear my ramblings about the places right.. so this 3-day weekend, i will commit to get up at least one post up.. then hopefully it'll snowball from there..

In other news, my results will be out soon.. in two weeks' time to be exact.. and i don't think i did good so i'm not expecting much.. we'll see how thing goes but basically i'm thinking of resitting for the exams next year rather than this year since i've got quite some things in line for the remaining year.. not too keen to work on it but i've got no choice right *big sigh*

On a better note, i found a gym partner and we've been working out for about one month plus.. we've skipped a little bit here and there but mostly we did managed to go during lunch hour.. now we're working on our meals.. since we spend around 20 minutes in the gym, showering and changing back to our working attire, we've got lesser time for lunch.. to make up for the time, we decided to pack our lunch from home and hopefully control what we eat.. me being me, i wouldn't have the time to prepare a solid meal in the morning and i'm too lazy to do it the night before so i just manage to prepare light meals, mostly salads.. you'd think that salads are easy to prepare well so did i.. but turns out, not so much.. yes all i do is chopping here and there but it's also quite tedious getting things in smaller bite size.. still figuring things out but at least it's a step forward.. owh owh and also, i've signed up for a yoga class hahahahaha macam lawak.. and the instructor pon lawak gak (or shall i say scary?) But i thought i'll just persevere and stick to it.. just this one thing, out of all the things i've been wanting to do but didn't (yes i'm talking about you guitar lesson)..

Another BBW coming up in Dec and i'm determine to bring a bag this time around.. in the meantime, i'm trying to finish up my 2nd GoT book, hopefully another week to go before i finish the 969 pages *exhale* another Hercule Poirot or two before i proceed with the next one.. the next season starts somewhere in April i believe and i'm hoping i get to finish all 5 books before it starts.. then i can yell spoiler alert!!
